KDX spewing oil out the back on startup.

Ok, when I eventually managed to start the project KDX yesterday, it shat a load of oil out the muffler for a minute or so until it ran clean. All over my grass and paving :?

On Saturday I couldn't start it, probably flooded it in the process. I'm thinking the oil that came out yesterday was still the stuff left in the header/expansion chamber from Sat. Or it could be crank seals?

Anyone had this happen to them?

Also, is it possible for a KDX to leak mixture straight from the carb into the combustion chamber? Will it not run out the overflow first.

Is it oil as in tranny oil or 2 stroke. If its black sludge, it could just be that your header and pipe are full up from rich mixtures. Have you had them cleaned out?

If its a stock muffler I have seen it before to a lesser degree. There's a little drain screw on it, keep a rag and a bowl ready!

Re-Pack, jet correctly and thrash as appropriate :lol: !

I'm not sure what oil it was.

I'm going to give it a good run this afternoon, see if it happens again.
