MotoPro RR450 - 1st place @ GXCC OR1 Pro AM.

Black Iron Racing Team's Juan Wilken took 1st place in the OR1 Pro Am class on Saturday 13 July.

After starting 8th off the line Juan quickly settled down and started hauling in the front runners. A consistent ride saw him take 1st place by the end of the race.

Well done to Juan and the Black Iron Racing Team on this incredible result.

Wian - BlackIron's technical specialist - says that there is more to come as they continue to develop and fine tune the bike to it's full potential.

Would be curious to know how "out the crate" it is being raced?

But as we all know, the bike doesnt do all the work. Definitely more to do with the rider.

I have test ridden the 250 and 450 and was surprised at the ridability and power of the bikes. they feel just like the 2012-16 ktms. so im guessing with a little tweaking will be a decent bike..... for the price.

3 things i did not like on both was
A) the suspension is a soft for anyone above 70kgs
B) front brake (hydraulic) felt like i had to put serious effort in to pull it. it was hard AF
C) ignition key behind where your right calf is situated on the bike poked me a few times. i would remove the key to an on/off switch.
