So this it what is shows in the manual - Change the oil pump at 80HRS - Really WTF !! - Surely this must be an error, Rad say the pump costs over 3K

80hr service at KTM is 16-19K
Depends which dealer you take it too. If you go according too the book, it is oil pump and piston kit, oil pump is about R3200 and piston kit R3500, then the normal plug, oil etc. SO parts are about R7520. There is no way labour will be R10K.
Just remember if it hasn't been raced for 80hrs, they will do that stuff at 120 hrs:thumbs up:

3 people I know personally paid between 16-19K. Another was a topend and new barrel for 30K.

Seen a couple quotes for an 80 hour service from KTM dealers. 16k with zero discount is the going rate.

I just spoke to a reputable dealer and he doesn't agree, but then again I ride 4T's, so don't have to worry :thumbs up:

28K ex VAT. This includes a barrel+piston kit.

12 hours labour for that ? plus your quote id for a cylinder as well , last time i wanted to by a cylinder it was 13k on its own

dont see the oil pump on this quote

i am assuming this is for a total top end and bottom end rebuild with a brand new cylinder , then the prices are not bad , just find the 12 hours a bit heavy , but then i am not a mechanic

This was an engine rebuild on a 2T

1 very dusty ride where the my mates agriculture engineer did not oil the filter. . . I made the mistake of assuming it would include an oil pump. Will try and find the invoice for topend/80hr service.

Here is a 4T rebuild. 55,5K ex VAT.

This bike did 3 rides and one race with no oil inside.

A 4T rebuild normally doesn't include an Excuse clutch. I have seen 4T rebuilds done for lots less than that

QUOTE . . .

Casing was cracked or nicked. On average I also changed my oil after 4 rides (which makes it plausible for this to happen) however I wash and maintain my own bike so I wouldve picked it up if it was pissing out oil and im parenoidAF so would have heard it midway on the 1st ride. AFAIK this quote was not accepted.
