Yamaha generally build pretty decent bikes but surely the AG 200 must be the kakkest bike they have ever built. I worked a bit on one now and the build quality and design is just not completely on Yamaha's standard IMO. Comparing apples with apples, it doesn't even come close to Honda's CTX 200 Bushlander for example.

I'd like to hear, what's the kakkest bike you have ever owned?

Most 125 4t delivery bike. Don't know how they get so little power out of an engine.

Funny comparison because I absolutely love the DT125's and a DT can go/do whatever an AG200 can do IMO. DT's are easy to work on, simple, reliable and well put together.

Pre 90's AG200 and AG175 were 100% better quality bikes. I think the more modern once are being mass-produced on the subcontinent.

this could be a useful thread. I am thinking of making a cheap dirt tracker/cafe racer style bike and was thinking the CTX200 might be a good start. Just a fun project and possibly a commute to work

The worst bike i ever knew was the old 4t huskys the red ones from about 2010. another one was the BMW450

There is an infamous and funny Top 10 List of Worst Dirt bikes. Will post it here.

But personally, it is a 1983 Suzuki DR400s - worst piece of shit ever. If I was at this current stage of my life when I owned it, I would have put a match to it next to the road where it inevitably always left me and walked away. Ironically the DR500 I owned was one of the best thumpers I have ever owned.

I have also owned a 2007 KTM 250 sxf. This bike, like the AG, was also very close to getting burned to ashes. Apparently that 250f engine (2006-2011) was one of Ktm’s worst

I had a 2004 250SX, was a bit of a dual edged sword. Some days you needed 15-20 spark plugs and more patience than a monk on horse tranquilizers. Other days that engine was just an absolute beast. Rip your arms off and increase your ape index.

Hilux Legend50 makes the AG200 seem like an engineering marvel . . . so much so that I cant even think of a bad bike ive owned after roughly 400 bikes.

All 250F MX bikes PRE-2016 were ticking time bombs

1998 YZ400 4t

140kg dry weight, a complicated 5 valve DOHC motor with absolutely no bottom end, an iffy carburation system. Bike would overheat within minutes of starting up, it had the dreaded de-compression lever. Not to mention all the other shit it gave with water pump shafts/seals etc...

YZ426 was a lot more polished, but also had its own issues!

2001 YZ250F - Piece of shit would not start when hot, traded it in on the bike below.
2000 Husaberg 501 - Wheely machine of note and a decent bike but would not start when hot, took a bath when I sold it.
2007 YZ 250 - 5 hours crank blew up, factory fault no tolerance on mains. Factory reneged but dealer helped. Spent a fortune on this bike and sold it for 35% of what it cost me.
Finally a Yamaha AG 200 used on my farm, after 2 years gave it to my farm worker he was not happy with me lol
